Scuffed Studios ("we", "our") publishes AI Apocalypse through Steam. We respect your privacy. This policy explains what data the game and this website collect, how it's used, and your rights.

1. Data the Game Collects

AI Apocalypse is a single-player offline-capable game. We do not operate any servers, do not collect telemetry, and do not transmit any player data to us directly.

All data the game saves is stored locally on your device at a standard Unity path:

  • Windows: %APPDATA%\..\LocalLow\Scuffed Studios\AI Apocalypse\
  • macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Scuffed Studios/AI Apocalypse/
  • Linux: ~/.config/unity3d/Scuffed Studios/AI Apocalypse/

These saves contain your in-run state and meta-progression (cards unlocked, gear unlocked, achievements completed, difficulty reached). No personally identifiable information is stored.

2. Steam Cloud Sync

If you play via Steam (which is the only distribution method), Valve Corporation may sync your save files across your devices via Steam Cloud. Steam Cloud is operated by Valve, not by us. Valve's privacy policy governs that data — see Valve's Privacy Policy.

3. Steam Achievements & Stats

The game reports achievement unlocks and cumulative stats (e.g., "total runs completed") to Steam's achievement API. This data is visible on your Steam profile per your Steam privacy settings. You can adjust Steam profile privacy in your Steam account settings. We do not receive or store this data on our servers.

4. Website (this site)

aiapocgame.com is a static marketing site hosted on Cloudflare Pages. We do not use cookies, do not run analytics scripts, and do not track visitors across sessions. Cloudflare may log basic request metadata (IP address, user agent, requested URL) for security and performance; see Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

If you email us at the support address, your email address and message will be stored in our inbox only for the purpose of responding. We do not share support messages with third parties.

5. Children's Privacy

AI Apocalypse is rated Teen (13+) / PEGI 12. We do not knowingly collect any data from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted data to us, please contact us at the address below and we will delete it.

6. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

If you are a resident of the European Union, United Kingdom, or California, you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
  • Delete — request deletion of personal data we hold.
  • Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Object — object to our processing of your data.

Since we do not collect personal data beyond support correspondence, in practice these requests will only apply if you have emailed us. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected].

7. Changes to This Policy

If we materially change this policy (e.g., start collecting telemetry in a future update), we will update the "Last updated" date above and announce the change on this site and in the game's patch notes. Continued use of the game after changes constitutes acceptance.
