End User License Agreement

This End User License Agreement ("EULA") is a legal agreement between you ("Player") and Scuffed Studios ("we", "us") for the use of AI Apocalypse ("the Game"), distributed exclusively through Steam (Valve Corporation).
By installing, copying, or otherwise using the Game, you agree to be bound by the terms of this EULA. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Game.
1. License Grant
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Game for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to this EULA and the Steam Subscriber Agreement.
2. Restrictions
You may not:
- Copy, distribute, or publicly display the Game except as permitted by Steam's Family Sharing and Remote Play features.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Game, except where applicable law expressly permits.
- Sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or lend the Game outside of Steam's built-in transfer mechanisms.
- Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices, labels, or marks.
- Use the Game for any commercial purpose, including streaming or content creation for revenue, without our written permission. Exception: We grant blanket permission for gameplay streaming, Let's Plays, reviews, and video content creation on platforms such as YouTube, Twitch, and TikTok. Monetization of such content (ads, subscriptions, donations) is permitted.
3. Modding & User Content
We intend to support Steam Workshop mod integration during Early Access. You retain ownership of any original content you create. By uploading mods to Steam Workshop, you grant us and other players a non-exclusive license to use, distribute, and display your mod within the context of the Game, subject to the Steam Workshop Legal Agreement.
We reserve the right to remove user content that infringes intellectual property rights, contains malicious code, or violates community guidelines.
4. Intellectual Property
The Game and all associated content — including but not limited to code, art, audio, text, UI design, and game mechanics — are owned by Scuffed Studios and protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. This EULA does not transfer any ownership rights to you.
5. Early Access
AI Apocalypse is initially offered as a Steam Early Access title. The Game is under active development and may contain bugs, incomplete features, or content that changes between updates. By purchasing during Early Access, you acknowledge this and accept the Game in its current state.
We are committed to completing development but make no guarantees regarding specific features, timelines, or the final scope of the 1.0 release.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Game is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Game will be error-free or uninterrupted.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Scuffed Studios shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Game, regardless of the cause of action. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Game.
8. Termination
This EULA is effective until terminated. Your rights under this EULA terminate automatically if you fail to comply with any of its terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Game and destroy all copies. Valve's refund policies apply independently of this EULA.
9. Governing Law
This EULA shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State in which Scuffed Studios operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
10. Changes to This EULA
We may update this EULA from time to time. Material changes will be announced via the Game's patch notes and on this website. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Game after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
